Yesterday, September 28, in the innovative setting of IlSole24ore's new offices in Milan, designed by Renzo Piano, a round table was held to inaugurate Fiandre's participation in Cersaie 2009, the international exhibition of ceramic tile and bathroom furnishings.
The unrivalled star of the event was Active™Clean Air & Antibacterial Ceramic, a new production method developed by Fiandre providing scientifically tested antibacterial action and reduction of pollutants. Active™Clean Air & Antibacterial Ceramic is a concrete response developed by this outstanding ceramics company to help improve environmental quality.
Drawing on the work of its in-house research laboratories, which have always focused on environmental issues, and the new technologies now available, Active™Clean Air & Antibacterial Ceramic can now count on Extreme, a new production line for large pressed formats permitting production of a new collection in ethereal hues made even more precious and exclusive by the impression of infinity created by the new formats. 150x75 cm (60"x30") and 75x75 cm (30"x30") are the two new formats, perfect for outdoor fa?des and large indoor surfaces, amazing us day after day with their huge size and helping make a significant improvement to the air we breathe.
This Cersaie represents the continuation of a trend Fiandre began years ago with the aim of protecting the environment: the new Serie 100 optimises recycling of raw materials in the production process without neglecting the latest new trends in architecture and design.
And to complete the wealth of important new developments on show at Cersaie, Hyperfine is offered in the 60x60 cm (24"x24") format with a thickness of 4 mm, in all six New Ground colours and the latest new addition, Wave, a new dimension of top end porcelain stoneware offering high technical performance and aesthetic innovation in the new 150x75 cm (60"x30") format.
